Black-and-white, often abbreviated B/W or B&W, is a term referring to a number of monochrome forms in visual arts. Originally photography was black-and-white or shades of sepia. Color photography was originally rare and expensive, and often less than true to life. Since the advent of color, black-and-white media often connotes something “nostalgic”, historic, anachronistic or more subtle and artistic.
Monochrome images can add special atmosphere, particular feeling to it, can accentuate expressions. Sepia and black and white photos have a special vibe, the play of lights and shades reviles a kind of magic and mystery.
Alex Berkun, professional art photographer from Kiev, Ukraine introduce us in a world painted in black and white where nature and naturalness is merged with kind of surrealist vision, beauty and wilderness are combined into breathing and vibrating images, revealing its depth and wonders.
