“I can tell you have a lousy imagination and as a matter of speaking I hate this situation, but it happens to be one of my pickin’ cause it’s so hard, to keep the dream alive…” A stranger and dark city staring back at you. The rain drops knocking at the window and the room is drowning in the pale light of the lamp and traces of smoke floating around. A drink will fix everything, although there’s nothing left to be fixed. Smoking may kills you, but what doesn’t? A small price for reachable pleasures. Hotel rooms for vagabond hearts and misplaced souls. Naked desperation and bitter emptiness. But last goes the hope. Up in the smoke, down in the last drop of the whiskey from the bottom of the bottle. Silent screams, groans through the walls and the elevator moaning while footsteps are fading away on the corridor. Tomorrow will be just the same.
And I just can’t get rid of this song… “Are you living in the night?”
