It’s A Man’s Man’s Man’s World

…The content that you are about to view may contain material only suitable for adults.
Marilyn Manson once asked a pretty good question: “Adult entertainment killing our children, or killing our children entertaining adults?”…
Eventually, once again we can argue what fits and what doesn’t in the box generally called art. And we can get – again – further and argue about what is “normal” and what might be “deviation”.
On the other hand, talking about “art nudes”, generally we think about exclusively female nudes and mainly man photographers. It might be a misjudgement and a generally accepted cliche, male nudes are mostly gay related.
It’s a man’s world? Maybe. But what if a female photographer reveals this man’s world and sometimes she get even deeper and reveals imagines of a secret, contradictory universe?
Who’s afraid of a penis or testicle?
“Katrine Neoromantika is most famous for being a female Russian photographer who is most known for taking photographs of nude men. Her creativity is based on a special sensuality and tenderness to men, baring the most secret sexual desires. Neoromantika’s photos are filled by a deep emotionality and beauty. Her unique perspective has been generated by various life experiences not common for an artist of her age.

Neoromantika was born in 1982 and throughout her childhood she moved repeatedly to various locations, including a military operations base. Throughout her life she has been engaged in different kinds of creative endeavors, such as art, dance and music. For sixteen years, she was devoted to music and enjoyed an active musical career – singing and playing in different underground musical groups. At the same time, she worked as a nurse in hospital; however because of a serious traumatic experience, she has been compelled to stop the musical activity.
At that point, she began to search for the possibility of an emotional realization in other kinds of arts and she started with photography. Katrine has studied with well-known Russian BDSM photographer Vlad Gansovsky, with whom she experienced first-hand how to work with models.
All of the skills that she has learned and various life experiences that she had have quickly helped her to find her unique theme for creativity.” (Official Biography)

BDSM is a continuum of erotic practice and expression involving the consensual use of restraint, intense sensory stimulation, and fantasy power role-play. The compound acronym, BDSM, is derived from the terms bondage and discipline, dominance and submission , and sadism and masochism. BDSM includes a wide spectrum of activities, forms of interpersonal relationships, and distinct subcultures.
The way to pleasure and fulfillment have several different paths, there is no such thing as “right way” or “wrong way”, but your way. And if someone will consider them “shocking”, well, that somebody probably never have the guts to take a look in the mirror or reveals his own true nature.

Katrine Neoromantika seems to find her own way to express and explore, to convert feelings and thoughts into imagines. Sometimes this exploration is painful just like some might enjoy suffering.
Her pictures are definitively “artistic” ones, she’s not ashamed or too shy to explore this “man’s world” and express her own sexuality, thoughts and feelings.
Katrine Neoromantika has contributed to several books: “The Deathbook” – Mexico-Poland, 2009; “New World’s Nude Photography”, Poland, 2009 and “The World’s Greatest Erotic Art of Today – Volume 3″, USA, 2009. Also her works were published in two issues (â„– 69 and â„– 70) of the Russian “KVIR” Gay Magazine in April, respectively May 2009.
Katrine participate to several exhibitions as well: in 2008 at The second Open All-Russian Festival dedicated to the Art of Bondage – BondageFest – held on March 1st, 2008, in Moscow, Russia. In 2009 at International Annual Exhibition – “The World’s Greatest Erotic Art of Today” in Miami, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles and San Francisco, USA.
